white to light red to grey brown, keep in airtight, shading and dry place. Slightly soluble in cold water, easily soluble in hot water, ethyl alcohol, diethyl ether and other organic solvents.

Uses:

An intermediate used in the synthesis of engineering polymers, para-aramid fibers, hair dyes, rubber chemicals, textile dyes and pigments. p-PDA is selected for the outstanding properties it imparts, including high temperature stability, high strength and chemical and electrical resistance.
